for stripers only at night. All the fish are in the 25 to 50
lb. range. These
Jumbo stripers are all caught drifting eels at night on the Cape
May Rips.
- Starting early May: 10 hour combo
striper-black drum trips. We
were the
first charter boat out of Cape May to start the
spring night combo Black Drum-Striper trips targeting the big
stripers. We have been fishing for over 15 years
for Black Drum at Slaughter Beach, DE.
Please note: The very BEST
STRIPER fishing occurs around Memorial Day weekend and during
the first half of June. All fishing is at night on the
Cape May Rips. Try our combo trips at night and even the
most experienced fishermen will marvel at the size of the Stripers
and Black Drum.
Most
of the big Black Drum are spawning females and all the
stripers over 30 pounds are females. Because of
this, we limit our customers to a maximum of 5 Black
Drum over 60 pounds per trip. We also have a limit of 6
jumbo night stripers over 30 pounds per trip. We
encourage catch and release on both stripers and drum.

catch. Fall Cape May Rips fishing trips usually produce
larger catches of stripers but the size of the fish are smaller
than the stripers we catch at night on the Rips
in the spring.
