It’s been a long winter and we are very excited to get the 2014 fishing season started this year. This past weekend was just a quick glimpse to remind us that spring is just around the corner and it’s just about that time to get started fishing for Spring Stripers and Black Drum.
What 2014 holds is anybody’s guess but if the spring stripers do show locally around Cape May we are one of the top boats when it comes to catching them! This year we have the same crew that has done so well in the past with Captain Kobey Treadwell, mates Vinnie and Ray and Capt John the owner of the Hooked Up II.
We will start Spring Black Drum fishing sometime in early May and fish for them probably until early June. We have been Spring Striper and Black Drum fishing on the Delaware Bay for over 30 years so regardless if they are on the New Jersey or Delaware side of the bay we know how and where to catch them and you will be fishing in one of the most comfortable charter boats out of South Jersey.
We offer a 100% money back guarantee on all deposits for booked spring trips to our customers if the stripers or drum do not show up locally this spring and your trip never runs. We do not take our customers hard earned money and our policy has always been if there are no fish to be caught, we will advise our customers and send back all deposits!
We offer 6, 8 and 10 hour combo Striper and Black Drum trips every spring plus all night trips for those that prefer to fish at night to avoid the large crowds especially on weekends and holidays. Contact us for additional information about any of the spring trips we offer.
We are also available for Mako shark fishing starting in mid-May including the South Jersey Shark Tournament in early June (June 4-7). We plan on starting our offshore tuna trips sometime in late May. Keep an eye out as we will be offering discounted early season day and overnight trips targeting Big Eyes, Yellowfins and Bluefins…plus on the overnight trips we will fish for canyon Makos at night!
Last year we had an exceptional year of tuna fishing. The Hooked Up II limited out on Yellowfin Tuna on almost all of our trips plus caught Big Eye tunas over 200 lbs on 8 straight trips! Tuna fishing really doesn’t get much better than that. We hope this year the tuna bite will show up in a canyon closer to Cape May!
If you haven’t already seen, we have added some pictures to our website and facebook of some of the highlights from the 2013 offshore season. Be sure to check them out!
